Communication System Engineer holding hands-on experience with main responsibilities of all the administrative tasks which includes configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting all the Audio and Video devices. Maintains the audio-video equipment in meeting rooms & training rooms, device registrations with Unified call managers, and new project implementations to meet USP’s service level agreements and AV availability for critical events and meetings. This position requires the candidate to possess great communication skills to interact with stakeholders across various levels and teams.

  • 40 % - Maintain com missioned AV/communication technology across all USP India Sites via trouble tickets, incidents etc.

  • 25 % - Manage and Coordinate with stakeholders for internal and external events

  • 20 % - Provide technical consultancy for AV and communications tech and implement selected technology solutions.

  • 15 % - Reporting and data-oriented analysis for future AV/Comms. technology decision making

  • Assist and provide support in Configuring and installation/replace of new/old AV equipment’s during new project requirements (MAC – Move, Add and Configure)

  • Providing support in connecting WebEx and MSTeams calls in meeting rooms to the users when required.

  • Ensure technical resources are properly aligned to all these events.

  • Educate & Assist users about the IT & AV equipment before the events/sessions start, Initiate sessions, as per user requirement.

  • Troubleshoot the issues related to AV equipment on time without hampering the

  • Address AV/IT issues during the sessions, if any, Addressing touch panel programs issues if any

  • Administer and troubleshoot issues and modifications with AV devices like controllers, decoders, audio dsp’s etc.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving the AV connectivity and technical issues.

  • Raising the trouble ticket with AMC vendor or Cisco for troubleshooting the technical issues to replace a faulty device under active AMC as per the contracted support.

  • Co-ordinate with AMC vendor for the quarterly maintenance at all India sites.

  • Verifying and upgrading to the latest firmware updates with the help from the OEM’s

  • Managing and taking associated backups of AV devices at multiple USP locations

  • Prepare the meeting rooms ready with VTC for Staff connects or other meetings and ensure smooth operations.

  • Managing and Maintaining Asset inventory and Labeling of Audio & Video equipment’s.

  • Provide support and coordinate with US teams for collaboration, testing and troubleshooting.

  • Provide support with AV equipment and internet issues at different USP India locations, if required need to travel to the site

  • Verify, Maintain, and supervise, cabling hygiene with proper dressing and labelling.

Who USP is Looking For?

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:


  • Bachelors / Master’s Degree in a computer science.

  • Certifications in CEA, CTS is desirable.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in managing corporate Video Conference and AV systems etc. (Cisco technology preferred).

  • Hands on Experience in Video Conferencing, Audio and Visual

  • Knowledge on Cisco Webex kit, Kit Plus, desk board, room bar VTC devices

  • Hands on experience with QSC, Creston, Kramer controller and audio DSP devices
