Job Description

This is a hands-on supervisory position in Store, to facilitate the entire chemical store operations and Inventory Management in the Laboratory.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Overall Responsible for the daily operations of Chemical store including the receipt and maintenance of the Lab Chemicals, Admin Materials, Facility materials etc. at stores.

  • Ensuring GRN entries and approvals for all the materials received at stores through ERP-Oracle inventory module.

  • Responsible for addressing the internal or external audits and to maintain good Quality systems as per USP SOP Requirements.

  • To ensure and follow good safety systems in handling the chemicals and storage of the chemicals at the chemical store.

  • To develop Risk assessment reports for handling of Hazardous chemicals at stores.

  • Ensure proper labelling and segregation of the Lab chemicals at chemical store as per Compatibility and SOP Requirements.

  • Issue of the Lab chemicals to individual departments as per the requirements of RSL, R&D, Synthetic and Biologics Laboratories.

  • Ensure Chemical inventory updates and maintain the minimum Inventory levels for the common chemicals.

  • Maintaining the documents like Material Receipt Note, Inward Registers, Issue Registers, Department wise Indents and Ledgers etc.

  • Verification of Physical Stock against Stock Ledger periodically and preparing the stock report

  • Receiving all materials and ensuring the quantity and quality inspection by technical person and if any shortcomings found report immediately to procurement and logistics department for rectifications.

  • To generate different types of Inventory reports periodically and share with the concerned stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • B. Sc /M.Sc. or equivalent degree with 8-10 years’ experience working in chemical stores with knowledge of ERP/SAP system or any other Inventory Management systems.

  • Minimum 2 years of people management experience.

Required Experience

  • Thorough knowledge of all Warehouse functions

  • Knowledge on Compliance, and Logistics etc.

  • Good oral and written communication skills in English

  • Results driven with demonstrated successful outcomes.

  • Ability and desire to work well with diverse employees and customers in a cooperative and friendly manner.

  • Handling of MS office would be an added advantage.
