Senior OBIEE Developer (2nd Shift)
This is a professional hands-on IT position in which the incumbent is responsible for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) to design, develop, document, and support reporting, analytics, dashboards and repositories. The incumbent works closely with the Associate Director, to ensure core IT tasks are completed on schedule and with high quality for internally and externally facing applications ranging in complexity to support USP’s priorities and mission.
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for Analysis, design, development, customizations, validations, deployment and post-implementation support for OBIEE components including Oracle BI Admin, Interactive Dashboards, BI Publisher, Scheduler, and Interactive Reporting using OBIEE 12c.
Work closely with stakeholders, developers and database administrators to plan, design, develop and implement applications, scripts, procedures and metadata for relational databases.
Responsible to create, maintain and enhance Business Intelligence components (metadata, reports, metrics, dashboards) and manage the overall BI ecosystem
Responsible for working with the Business Intelligence (BI) team members and business stakeholders to deliver reporting and analytics solutions within the data warehouse.
Responsible for developing re-usable OBIEE frameworks such as logical layers and metadata mappings
Collaborate to work closely with the test teams to complete BI development activities and resolve defects, develop and unit test OBIEE repositories and multidimensional databases, monitor and remediate System Integration and Business User Testing software issues
Lead BI application change control management by performing Impact Analysis to drive changes
Responsible for performing analysis, design, development, testing and performance improvements of complex queries based upon the specific needs of USP
Collaborates with Associate Director to obtain necessary resources and provide expert technical solutions to support long-term technology strategy.
Facilitates problem solving and collaboration.
Nurtures and enforces best practices for development activities within assigned staff
Coordinate work efforts with the DBA team for application changes and system performance issues
Assist with testing OBIEE functionality for deployment of upgrades to keep application release level current
Pursue innovative ways to improve the process of delivering solutions to OBIEE users
Proactively work through service requests with Oracle support as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field with 9 years of professional OBIEE/Datawarehouse experience
At least 5 years’ experience in OBIEE development, Data analysis, and Business Intelligence
Excellent knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) from both a functional and technical perspective.
Demonstrated involvement in end-to-end deployments of two of the following: OBIEE Administration, OBIEE repositories, Oracle BI applications, or data warehousing preferably in an Oracle environment
Good understanding of at least three of the following: multi-dimensional analysis, Oracle BI Applications (Financials or supply chain/Order management) and ETL tools (informatica, ODI)
3+ years proven expertise with Oracle EBS business subject areas (Sales, Financials, Accounting/GL) in R12.x Oracle EBS environment
SQL proficiency with experience in constructing/deconstructing complex reports and queries
Good understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts
Solve complex issues using methodical troubleshooting based on expert knowledge of Oracle OBIEE applications functionality and technology
Ability to identify technical risks, present solutions to non-technical personnel and influence technical decisions.
Ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization. Deals with conflicts, confrontations, and disagreements in a positive manner.
Experience in Hyperion Planning and budgeting (PBCS), Enterprise Analytics (ASO), or financial reporting, a plus
Understanding of Oracle EBS from a functional user perspective, a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated experience leading large software development projects.
