Summary of the Position

The Cash and Treasury Operations Manager reports to the VP Finance and Corporate Controller and leads all banking and financing activities and manages $300 million of cash and investments. Responsibilities include cash and bank management, debt compliance, investment reporting and relationship management, business controls and risk mitigation. This position must be able to communicate complex financial concepts to senior management and work in collaboration with various departments across the organization to meet company objectives. The Cash and Treasury Operations Manager is expected to identify and execute on process automation to improve workflow efficiencies and perform robust analyses that enhance decision-making.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage $300 million of cash and investments, $300 million of annual receipts and disbursements, and $100 million debt.

  • Develops and maintain relationships with external banking and investment partners.

  • Cash positioning, cashflow forecasting and liquidity analysis.

  • Banking administration including signatory authority and corporate resolutions, Know Your Customer and Common Reporting Standard compliance (domestic & international).

  • Compliance with international banking regulations and requirements, including foreign bank account set-up and reporting, Guarantees and Letters of Credit.

  • Investment compliance and reporting.

  • Bond covenant compliance and reporting.

  • Facilitate payment card industry (PCI) compliance and fraud prevention, including development and delivery of fraud prevention training to mitigate risk and promote best practices.

  • Maintain strong internal controls and policies with focus on bank account administration, operational funding and foreign exchange (FX) rate changes.

  • Responsible for cash and treasury operations related internal and external audit requirements.

  • Facilitate the merchant services relationships and programs including Cybersource and Amex Paymentech.

  • Facilitate healthcare claims account funding and statements.

  • Identify business process improvement opportunities and lead efficiency initiatives .

  • Role model financial stewardship, business partnering and USP core values

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within a financial services or banking role, with a minimum of 3 years in treasury operations with demonstrated experience in cash management and debt compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting

  • Strong knowledge of banking administration, international experience preferred

  • Strong analytical and critical reasoning skills to make recommendations and drive change

  • Ability to adapt and handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Results driven with demonstrated successful outcomes

  • Ability to influence without direct authority

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification

  • Strong knowledge of International banking regulations and experience building global partnerships

  • Experience in identifying and developing effective process improvements and proven track record of meeting deliverables

  • Understanding and experience with merchant services administration

  • Committed to working effectively with diverse employees and customers in a cooperative and friendly manner

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
