The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) Developer - Office365 in Rockville, Maryland


Summary of the Position

This position is responsible for providing approach and advice to USP staff to solve both business and technology needs. The incumbent will be working to help staff develop and implement a road map for rollout and adoption of Microsoft 365 products. This role provides knowledge, expertise, and guidance to immediately enhance USP staff productivity utilizing the Microsoft 365 tool suite. This individual should be well versed in the native features, capabilities and customization of Microsoft 365 including OneDrive, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams to design, plan and implement Modern Workplace solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers to analyze the environment and understanding business needs and translating those requirements into capabilities of the Microsoft 365 platform

  • Map Microsoft 365 tools and capabilities to business outcomes and articulating the best approach to achieve the desired outcome

  • Provide delivery and hands-on support of Microsoft 365 based solutions

  • Participate in migration and modernization projects and support other Operations and Continuity tasks as required

  • Train and support end-users in the creation and maintenance of Microsoft 365 applications

  • Stay abreast of newly released updates and products to provide the most up-to-date consulting advice to customers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Six (6) years of experience working in Information Technology

  • Four (4) years of hands-on experience using Microsoft 365 tools

  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Power Apps and Power Automate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Solution Architect (MCSA)

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)

  • Experience in system integration with one or more platforms (Salesforce, Oracle, Pega)
