Summary of the Position

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Global Human Resources, the Human Resource Generalist provides day-to-day support to assigned client groups, ensuring effective and impactful implementation of human resources practices, processes, policies, and programs in every area of HR.

The incumbent is responsible for providing the full range of assistance, guidance, and advisory services to all levels of People Managers and individual contributors for a wide range of human resource programs and processes and within limits, resolving human resource and administrative issues/problems. The work responsibilities may involve a combination of any of the following human resources areas: recruitment and staffing, and benefits, and other human resource matters as assigned.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Supports employees and managers globally when human resources issues arise within assigned client groups.

• Provides day-to day support by serving as the point of contact for employee questions and specific projects responsible for leading.

• Supports and contributes to the ongoing development HR programs and processes to deliver a great employee experience. This would include programs and processes such as Performance Assessment & Development, employee engagement initiatives, employee relations, workforce organizational talent review planning, policy changes, HR process improvements, exits interviews, etc.

• Partners with HRBPs to support the unique HR strategies for assigned client groups. May include compiling data and analyzing for initial insights, collaborating with HRBPs and GHR Centers of Excellence, drafting communications, creating manager and employee-facing resources, etc.

• Partners with the HRIS team in process improvements and ensuring data accuracy.

• Reinforces organization policies, and procedures.

• Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors; refer complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HRBP.

• Identifies and resolves moderate employee relation issues and ensures accurate and timely documentation of concerns and issues.

• Support the Senior Employee Relations Manager and HRBPs in the investigation and resolution of employee relations issues. Analyzes employee feedback from exit interviews and consults with people manager for areas of continuous improvement where needed.

• Under the guidance of HRBPs and Senior Employee Relations manager, analyzes trends and root causes and looks for opportunities to improve work environment and client group satisfaction when appropriate.

• Ensures documentation practices for good and poor performance are adhered to by managers and provides information and direction to people managers regarding policies, performance improvement and career development.

• Partners with HR Centers of Excellence (e.g., Talent Acquisition, People Experience, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS and Learning & Development) to address related issues and problems and to ensure client groups receive the necessary services, support, and communications from these centralized HR functions.

• Leads HR Change Management activities within client groups and work with respective HRBPs, HR Communications on the rollout of the changes.

• Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Business or related field required.

• At least 3 years of human resource management experience required.
