The Project Director is accountable for the implementation of a $200-$300M global USAID program. The Project Director has overall responsibility for setting strategic direction, oversight, administration, supervision, and management of all aspects of program performance. S/he will ensure compliance with USAID and USP regulations, policies, and procedures and ensure systems and processes are in place to demonstrate the program’s achievements and compliance with FAR and AIDAR. The Project Director will be the primary liaison with USAID. The position is contingent on contract award.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of fifteen (15+) years of professional experience in global health program management and implementation

  • At least 10 years of health commodity quality assurance experience, preferably in a developing country context

  • Minimum of ten (10+) years of supervisory/management experience required, including 5+ years of experience leading large teams with globally located staff, clients, and counterparts

  • At least five (5+) years of USAID program implementation experience in leadership position, managing and implementing complex programs in health systems, quality assurance, and HIV/AIDS, malaria, TB, and FP/MNCH

  • Demonstrated and extensive experience managing high value contracts ($50MM+) and ensuring compliance with FAR and AIDAR

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with host governments, international organizations, implementing partners, and the local partner community

  • High level of integrity and commitment to quality, with strong commitment to personal and team accountability
