Brief Job Overview

We have an immediate opening for a (Senior) Digital Products Marketing Manager in our Digital and Innovation group. This position plays a critical role in supporting product owners for all USP’s externally facing digital products, mobile applications, and touchpoints. The successful applicant will help drive product development by understanding the needs of pharmaceutical researchers and regulators and making them aware of USP's growing portfolio of digital products and services.

The (Senior) Digital Products Marketing Manager has the following responsibilities:

  • Create and implement market outreach business and communications plans for new/planned and existing externally facing digital offerings. This includes managing all promotional materials for a new launch or major change/update, creating, and updating content, videos, and graphics, and managing current communication channels, including newsletters, social media, digital advertising, webinars, and Customer Advisory Boards.

  • Help lead the development of future offerings, focusing on both the business and public health impacts according to customer needs and USP core strengths.

  • Manage the development of value proposition statements, benefits, and feature positioning for new digital products.

  • Develop and launch lead generation and lead nurturing campaigns to build a sales pipeline that meets business plans, quotas, and company objectives.

  • Conduct follow-up after surveys, customer outreach campaigns, and social media campaigns, using appropriate analytics to gauge activities' impact and provide product teams with information about customer feedback and needs.

  • Develop a deep understanding of industry needs and USP product and service offerings.

  • Manage external marketing and comms agencies.

  • Understand and apply internal USP marketing and communication strategies to the digital work.

  • Assist the DP&P team in building out strategy and vision for the long-term digital platform OneUSP.

  • Work closely with the product team to ensure that the new offering meets customers’ expectations.

  • Collaborate across the organization with external affairs colleagues to align marketing strategy and messaging with corporate communications and brand guidelines.

  • Continually seeks out ways to improve current USP processes and systems to improve the customer experience.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:

Marketing Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • At least five (5) years of hands-on experience managing projects related to digital platforms or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • At least two (2) years of experience in a customer-facing role or customer outreach engagement.

Senior Marketing Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • At least eight (8) years of hands-on experience managing projects related to digital platforms or an equivalent combination of training and experience

  • At least five (5) years of experience in a customer-facing role or customer outreach engagement.

Additional Desired Preferences

  • Demonstrated ability to support and execute the design-review life cycle of a digital product.

  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute marketing campaigns.

  • Demonstrated ability to use analytics to drive marketing decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide an excellent customer experience through web content, digital touchpoints, and, when necessary, emails and phone calls.

  • Ability and desire to work well with diverse employees and customers in a cooperative and friendly manner.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Science (Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, etc.) background a plus.

  • Proficiency in a language other than English (e.g., Spanish, French, Russian, or Chinese) is a plus.

  • PMP is a plus.

  • Experience with user-centered design a plus.

  • Ability to thrive in a results-oriented environment with a strong customer service orientation and operate collaboratively at all levels of the organization in a highly technical environment.

  • Ability to operate independently where appropriate yet understand when to escalate issues and how to establish effective working relationships in a team setting.

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and Pardot.

  • Knowledge of Canva is a plus.
