Summary of the Position
The Project Delivery Lead is a hands-on, professional position that partners with all Information Technology (IT) Project Management Office (PMO) stakeholders to drive adoption of standards, practices and facilitate successful project management execution and service delivery. The Project Delivery Lead will provide delivery guidance to other PMs to execute IT PMO standards as well as drive continuous IT PMO improvement through mentorship, coaching, stakeholder engagement and building a PM community-of-practice. The Project Delivery Lead will plan and manage complex IT projects and collect and report status for projects not managed by the IT PMO. They are accountable for the on time, on budget, on scope delivery of the intended business outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities
Project Delivery Leadership
Creates and executes outreach plan to establish stakeholder relationships and set expectations for non-IT PMO project reporting
Collects and reports status for projects not managed by IT PMO
Acts as a liaison between the IT PMO and business-led projects to support IT PMO project management standards and processes
Provides leadership for project managers by coaching and motivating them to adhere to project milestones and achieve project goals and service delivery outcomes.
Proposes recommendations, identifies and leads continuous project management improvement activities
Compiles requirements for updates to existing project standards and standard operating procedures
Updates existing project standards including project charter templates, stakeholder reports, status reports, schedule templates, and risk and issues logs
Leads the activation of improved standards, track and measure IT PMO wide implementation
Creates and maintains prioritized backlog of improvement activities including standards, process updates, reporting
Partners with IT PMO leadership to determine at risk project activities that need Project Delivery Lead support to expedite adoption of standards
Partners with Project Managers to co-develop project materials based on prioritized artifacts and determination of at-risk project activities.
Collaborates and maintains effective rapport with senior management and business leaders
Primary accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating and delivering a given project.
Leads and manages projects involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners.
Rigorously manages scope and risk to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters.
Manages project spend and validate financial forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
Provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures.
Develops communication plans and interfaces to actively engage business partners.
Represents the project in briefings to sponsors, key stakeholders, governance, and inter-department forums.
Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.
Develops the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, risk plan, and related project management artifacts; publishes periodic project status reports.
Proposes recommendations and adjustments for continuous improvement.
Assesses and resolves all high priority project risks.
Manages all aspects of the project life cycle, and partners with team members to oversee all phases of project completion.
Facilitates all operational checkpoint activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field.
Eight (8) years demonstrated experience and success in managing complex IT projects
Eight (8) years demonstrated experience in delivering measurable outcomes across different types of high-value, complex projects or equivalent experience; may come from one of several backgrounds in IT management, business unit management, or consulting
Demonstrates a high degree of customer service and teamwork by collaborating with IT team members, vendors, business users to build relationships and achieve project objectives.
PMP Certification (or enrollment/pursuit of)
