The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics (Multiple Openings) in Rockville, Maryland

Description

Duties: Lead data strategy, data management, and perform centralize business analytics to support all levels or the organization including the Executive team. Ensure continuity and quality of analytical work and coordinate the collaboration between global teams and internal clients. Lead a team of analytics and data science professionals in the US including setting goals, developing talent, designing projects, managing workload, and conducting resourcing. Design and lead advanced analytics and data science projects in support of enterprise strategy, marketing, and business development efforts including product demand forecasting, customer and market segmentation, decision modeling to support (strategic and tactical initiatives), predictive modeling of customer and market behavior. Provide strategic guidance to program unit heads, site heads, strategy leaders, and executive leadership across USP on how to resolve unique business problems using analytics. Utilize data to drive business strategies and programs. Contribute to Data Strategy & Analytics (DS&A)’s roadmap and ensure DS&A analytics team can support USP’s objectives. Collaborate with the Data Management function within DS&A to develop use cases for data assets and infrastructure to enable advanced analytics. Manage external analytics vendors/service providers. Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s in in Data science; Analytics; Business Administration (Investment Finance and Strategy); or related field, followed by 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a data analytical-related occupation.

Experience must include:

  • 5 years in business analytics, data or decision sciences;

  • 3 years of team management experience in a commercial government, NGO, or non-profit enterprise;

  • 3 years of development and implementation of predictive analytics models;

  • SQL skills;

  • Python and data science packages experience including numpy, pandas, and scikit-learn.

  • Data visualization software including Tableau and Power BI.

  • Developing and interpreting complex logical data models (ERDs) in support of analytics; and

  • Git, codebase management, CI/CD, SDLC, and moving machine learning algorithms into production environment.
