Senior Manager, Change Management and People Experience
Summary of the Position
The Senior Manager, Change Management and People Experience will lead the change management function and overall strategy while continuing to evolve the vision and fully implement the program. The incumbent will work within a matrixed, cross cultural organization in support of the continued evolution of our culture and people strategy. This person will be responsible for accelerating the ownership and adoption of consistency in approaches for change efforts across USP, including principles, tools and templates for use by sponsors, leaders and program managers across USP. This role will partner with leadership and stakeholders across the organization to build, maintain and solidify proven methods. The position will report to the Director, Staff Engagement Office, and partner with the Director to bring increased focus to the USP people experience. This position also oversees work done to gather, analyze and report on staff surveys and other employee feedback, to ensure leadership has data and information that will drive continued cultural transformation for high levels of engagement, collaboration and embedding the principles of diversity, inclusion and belonging.
Roles and Responsibilities
Integrate and align with relevant stakeholders to develop and maintain a change management framework for USP that will help to institutionalize change management principles into standard operations.
Maximize change adoption through the design, development, and execution of change leadership strategies, methodologies (e.g., tools and templates) and plans for a consistent approach to change management across USP, including change assessments, plans and metrics, and stakeholder analysis, engagement, and communication.
Coach and support teams on the use of change leadership tools and methodologies to engage stakeholders and sustain culture change and continue to build knowledge and skills capability across the organization on change management principles.
Support and direct project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans and provide direct support and coaching to employees and management as they work through transition.
Manage complex, cross functional, stakeholder alignment and issue resolution using sophisticated executive influence skills. Facilitate the creation and leverage of change management champion teams as needed to achieve change objectives.
Partner with the Director, Staff Engagement Office (SEO) to lead People Experience projects to ensure people experience principles are considered for key changes and decisions affecting the workplace.
Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting for employee feedback through surveys and other feedback forums to provide USP and Global Human Resources leadership updated view of employee sentiment. Help guide organizational change efforts needed to address identified opportunity areas.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with minor or certification in Change Management, Organization Development or relevant field.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in business management or related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in change management.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience mentoring, coaching, training, or supervising other staff.
Certification in change leadership methodology preferred (e.g., Prosci).
Superior partnering and collaboration skills.
Exceptional Communication skills –written and verbal.
Proficient in working with computer software products and technology tools including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Microsoft SharePoint, Visio, and Adobe Illustrator.
Demonstrated organization skills with ability to prioritize tasks to work within timeframes.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and act as a self-starter
Experience working in a global environment preferable.
Ability to influence others and work in a collaborative environment.
Experience with change management gap analysis, impact assessments.
Experience in meeting facilitation, business process modeling and road mapping is preferable.
