Summary of Position

The (Senior) Revenue Strategy Manager is an important role responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing USP performance cell and new business revenue strategies, analytics, performance management. This professional will work across USP functional teams, new businesses, and regions to identify and drive a variety of revenue projects to support business entities to achieve business goals and objectives and to improve operational effectiveness. Projects will be in high priority areas and sometimes will require the individual to work directly with senior leaders across multiple functions and programs in support of a variety of topics, including revenue strategy, new business revenue assessments, scenario modeling, process improvement, and workflow redesign. This position will report to the Director of Revenue and Pricing Strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify, review, and manage revenue opportunities and threats both in existing and new product portfolios in Performance cells and regions by tracking, monitoring, and reporting overall revenue activities.

  • Support cross-functional teams and regions with revenue analyses, revenue modeling, preparations for Quarterly Business Reviews and periodic revenue reports and updates to Executive Team through in-depth analyses and syntheses of revenue issues, market insights and competitive landscape. This role requires excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and good understanding of pharmaceutical industry.

  • Lead high priority, special projects, ensuring that appropriate research and analysis are properly designed and conducted, risk assessments and mitigation being discussed, problems and issues being resolved, being aligned with USP’s mission impact, strategies, core value and operational objectives.

  • Work closely with Director of Revenue and Pricing Strategy, Senior Pricing Managers, and stakeholders across business lines to identify and analyze key revenue challenges.

  • Key outcomes of the work could inform annual strategic plans, including financial analyses/modeling for growth initiatives.

  • Be able to effectively synthesize and present key insights to influence decisions by providing thoughtful ideas, competitive insights, and new revenue opportunities to drive positive outcomes in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.

  • Share knowledge and lessons learned from projects and other initiatives with appropriate audience(s) and document relevant information, data, and knowledge to improve future projects.

Basic Qualifications:

Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 5 years of experience working in finance or analytics managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects and teams

  • 1 year of experience involving managing operational efficiency projects

Senior Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 8 years of experience working in finance or analytics managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects and teams

  • 2 year of experience involving managing operational efficiency projects

Skills Sought

  • Excellent analytical skills in quantitative, qualitative, and statistical analysis

  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills

  • Demonstrated top-notch communication, verbal, and written skills

  • Capable of working independently with cross-functional teams or regions

  • Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting recommendations to C-level management

Preferred qualifications and knowledge

  • Life sciences industry experience, preferred

  • 3 years post a master’s degree in life science or chemistry or an MBA preferred

  • Exceptional Excel / data analytics and management skills

  • At least 3 years of progressive professional level work experience in a comparable organization preferred

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a diverse group of scientists and non-scientists across multiple countries

  • 1-3 years of global revenue or pricing experience preferred

  • Strong time management and project management skills

  • Teamwork and leadership skills

  • Interest in healthcare and global public health
