Who USP is Looking For?

USP seeks an intern to help gather, organize and analyze data from GBT assessments of our supported countries. Reporting to USP’s Technical Officer-PQM+, specifically, the intern will:

  • Develop and/or revise (as needed) an Excel tool and process to capture and collate data from across countries and across iterations of GBT assessments (i.e., a country may have done more than one GBT assessment).

  • Engage with country office staff to obtain data, supporting data entry and ensuring data quality and continuous updating.

  • Collate data from across countries and GBT assessments.

  • Provide analysis from GBT assessments:

  • Percent of sub-indicators addressed by USP by regulatory function ((% of total sub-indicators, and % USP proposed to support)

  • Percent of recommendations from the Institutional development plan (IDP) addressed by USP by regulatory function (% of total recommendations, and % USP proposed to support)

  • Percent of CAPAs addressed by USP by regulatory function (% of total CAPAs, and % USP proposed to support)

  • Considering the percent of USP contribution to the total number sub-indicators, recommendations, and CAPAs, to what extent can USP attribute their efforts to any maturity level improvements (for those that have more than 1 GBT assessment)

  • Facilitate set up of data capture and reporting in USP’s DevResults platform (a data management system) with support from USP M&E staff:

  • Develop data tables (using the Excel tools as the basis)

  • Import data

  • Develop indicators

  • Develop dashboards in DevResults

Qualifications – Focused Studies on International Relations, International Development, and Public Health are encouraged to apply.
