Brief Job Overview
The Business Analytics Manager position is responsible for designing, prototyping, deploying & maintaining analytical output to meet USP’s growing analytic objectives of data-driven insights and decision making. This position supports Industry Programs and business stakeholders, who are working to develop strategy driven by data analytics. . This role has technical responsibilities across the RPO technology portfolio (Tableau, Alteryx,) as well as touchpoints with the business (Industry Programs, Regions, Commercial Operations). The position supports the data and analytical needs for internal RPO customers (Industry Programs, Regions, Marketing, SCD, Customer/Technical Services, Scientific Affairs, Donations, etc.).

Applies knowledge of current trends in data analytics to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Fosters best practices in support of the overall data strategy and data governance within USP, supporting the overall data analyst community within USP.
Perform advanced quantitative and qualitative data analysis, leveraging analytics to guide data driven decision making and strategy
Process information for easier consumption, and transform it into actionable plans
-Lead efforts to improve business decisions by integrating relevant data analysis tools into day-to-day procedures
Identifies information needs, designs/develops reporting tools in collaboration with IT and Data Management, as needed.
Oversees and monitors all RPO reporting and analytics activities as they relate to the organization’s value streams
Supports target setting, performance management, process improvement and conducts external benchmarking activities
Designing, prototyping, deploying & maintaining analytical (revenue streams, ROI/ROMI, customer satisfaction, promotions, etc.) output.
Tracks analytic project request status for Portfolio & Product Analytics team.
Leverage Portfolio & Product Analytics Team technical analytic data stores (Oracle, Salesforce).
Leverage Portfolio & Product Analytics Team technical analytic platforms (Tableau, Alteryx).
Creates and distributes detailed analytic applications (dashboards, workflows, output, data science, datasets, etc.)
Ensures ad-hoc analytic assignments are properly documented, executed and catalogued.
Ensures authoritative workflows are scheduled and maintained for enterprise analytic use.
Collaborates with external consultants, vendors and internal presenters to ensure a high level of quality combined with overall value to USP analytics.
Develops, monitors and reports on the effectiveness of programs by establishing relevant data governance metrics and collection capabilities; demonstrates use of workflow automation in daily work and operations.
Who USP is Looking For?
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in data science, analytics, statistics, business, marketing, computer science or relevant field.
Three (3) years of experience in a data analytics role will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Strong analytic and data skills and ability to develop and implement analytical data models, data sources, dashboards and reports.
Manager:
Three (3) years of experience in the field of data engineering & data analytics.
Three (3) years of experience with Tableau visualizations, hyper extracts and ETL.
Expertise in visualizing data and creating interactive dashboards in Tableau (or similar)
Senior Manager:
Five (5) years of experience in the field of data engineering & data analytics.
Five (5) years of experience with Tableau visualizations, hyper extracts and Alteryx.
Expertise in visualizing data and creating interactive dashboards in Tableau (or similar)
Additional Desired Preferences
Degree in data science, analytics, statistics, business, marketing, computer science or relevant field.
8+ years of experience in the field of data engineering & data analytics.
5+ years of analytics experience with healthcare/pharma/life sciences data.
3+ years of experience with Alteryx.
Familiarity with Salesforce, Oracle EBS, SQL.
Business analytics experience in a commercial entity a plus.
Understand standards development operations, processes and cycle
Experience in using KPIs and metrics to increase performance, improve process and close gaps
Expertise in performance management and benchmarking (both internal and external)
Experience in reporting on a variety of business processes and technologies
Knowledge of pharmaceutical market dynamics a plus.
