Summary of the Position
This is a non- supervisory, professional position responsible for developing, reviewing program management activities in the area of Digital communications, media engagement. Develop digital marketing and communications strategies and support RPO function, and other relevant activities for USP SA region. The incumbent in this role will be involved in strategic program development and engagement of both Internal and external stake holders to advance USP’s mission and strategic goals in the region.
Roles and Responsibilities
Advocacy & Communications:
Develop & evolve thought leadership messaging for USP priorities in the South Asia region; tailor enterprise messaging on USP priorities for the region; provide regional insight to USP Global Communications team to inform evolutions of enterprise messaging
Develop & direct content development to promote USP thought leadership on priority issues; copy & images to be written & designed for social media posts, email campaigns, video production & collateral; content to comply with USP Global Communications guidelines
Develop & manage paid, earned, social & owned media campaigns to increase awareness of USP advocacy work on priority issues; collaborate with digital team within USP Global Communications to ensure alignment with enterprise activities
Develop & manage media opportunities to create greater awareness of USP thought leadership & advocacy efforts; identify & nurture relationships with key trade & business media outlets in South Asia; collaborate with external communications team within USP Global Communications
Produce & manage internal/external events to support stakeholder engagement on USP advocacy efforts; develop & disseminate content that highlights insights from the events, when applicable.
Marketing and Designing
Develop focused marketing campaigns on USP digital platforms to generate new business opportunities
Develop regional marketing plans for promoting new initiatives, where applicable, aligning with USP’s global marketing model
Work with Sr Director RPO, SA region to create communication strategies based on insights generated from such projects
Execute data driven marketing strategies to derive insights to aid business
Create new marketing platforms like microsites, new social media platforms etc. for advocacy and new business opportunities by expanding USP’s reach in the region
Leverage and adapt enterprise messages, assets to develop regional campaigns
Contribute to the communications community of practice
Collaborate with Global Comms and regions on enterprise campaigns
Manage South Asia scope of work and projects with external agency
Basic Qualifications
Master’s in business marketing / Digital marketing & Communications/ Brand Management/ Mass media/Public relations.
Minimum of 8-10 years for the Senior manager, 6 years for the manager of the experience in Digital marketing, public relations, media communications preferably in pharma or health care sector is desired.
The candidate should have good written and communication skills in the English language.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional qualifications in public relations/ corporate communications will be an advantage.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in the pharmaceutical space.
Possess an understanding and knowledge of brand strategy and planning in line with the Organization Goals.
Own and deliver the annual marketing plan
Leading the Marketing communication, function with focus on social media, engaging/creating opportunities in print and electronic media
Has the ability to develop marketing collaterals and communication tools.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
