Summary of the Position:

This professional position is responsible for providing HR Generalist support to managers and all levels of employees within the organization. To deliver high quality, standardized HR policies and programs across a range of HR functions to enable managers and employees deliver high productivity and actualize business strategy.

1.China Site HR Support:

  • Takes lead in the delivery of global HR initiatives, critical processes and programs. This includes support for areas like Talent Acquisition, Staff Engagement and Communication, Performance Management, Learning & Development etc.

  • Drives effective execution to ensure HR related polices, guidelines and procedures are clearly understood and implemented. Conducts periodic review to ensure compliant and updated version implemented.

  • Partners with China Leadership and drives USP-China to be an inspiring place to work by enhancing employee engagement. Manage internal communication channels, townhall meetings, website, WeChat, newsletters etc.

  • Manages the recruitment process to align with the recruitment plan and ensures qualified selection. Maximizes cost-effective recruiting strategies.

  • Collaborates with global stakeholders, vendors, and consultants to design and implement local and global learning and development (L&D) solutions.

  • Manages implementation and roll out of global L&D solutions at China Site and regional offices: assign appropriate audiences, determine and coordinate scheduling and logistics, facilitate training, conduct pilots, evaluate effectiveness and communicate improvements, manage vendors, etc.

  • Acts as a liaison and facilitates communication with HR counter parts in USP headquarters on responsible areas.

2.Asia HR Support

  • Support Global Expansion and PQM+ project to deliver and execute global HR initiatives, critical processes and programs. This includes support for areas like Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefit, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement and HRIS etc.

  • Manages the recruitment process to align with the recruitment plan and ensures qualified selection.

  • Develops and administers Compensation and Benefit programs that reward employees for achieving individual, team and organizational goals. Works with outsourced vendor to conduct monthly payroll process.

  • Manages employees’ onboarding, transferring, termination and related processes, partners with managers to ensure proper resources are placed and/or leveraged.

  • Organizes and manages documentation, database, records and files to comply with local law, regulated requirement and/or USP policies/SOPs.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor and/or Master Degree (preferred). Major in Human Resources or Business Management related fields is preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience of human resources experiences.

  • Asia regional HR experience, especially experience in recruitment and employment laws in Asia countries is preferred

Required Experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and sensitivity awareness.

  • Takes initiatives to deal with potential issues and provide solutions proactively

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and effectively.

  • High level of proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), ability to learn new HRIS and Learning Management systems/applications.

  • Detail-oriented and passion for quality.

  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionally handle/process sensitive information.

  • Solid knowledge of China labor law and human resources related regulations. Basic Knowledge of labor law and HR practices in Asia countries.

  • Excellent writing and speaking skills in English and Chinese.

  • Ability to present, facilitate, and build and foster a safe and inclusive learning environment, address difficult questions, and handle difficult/disruptive participants if needed.

  • Willing to travel in Asia region
