Summary of the Position:

This is an excellent opportunity to join our expanding team in Asia Pacific and impact public health by fulfilling USP’s Mission to strengthen the global supply of quality medicines, dietary supplements, and foods. We are currently looking for a (Senior) Program Manager, Asia Pacific (APAC). This is a key role in developing and leading programs in order to foster the growth of USP in APAC through Standards, Capability Building and Advocacy. The (Senior) Program Manager works closely with all team members across the different functions to ensure the success of our programs, events, and other special projects. The position requires creative problem-solving, superior multitasking and organizational ability, meticulous attention to detail, and strong oral and written communication skills. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter with the passion and desire to grow within an exciting environment and a passion in improving public health through public standards and related programs that help ensure the quality, safety, and benefit of medicines, dietary supplements and foods.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy and execution of various programs and projects. Be the lead, point of contact and co-ordinate the programs and projects, through effective collaboration techniques and project management best practices. Programs and projects include MOUs with external partners, advocacy and capability programs to advocate USP’s Mission Priorities to strengthen the global supply chain of quality medical products

  • Working with Strategic Customer Development, Government Affairs and other relevant functions to develop, conceptualize and actualize strategic collaborations with external stakeholders including industry, regulators, academia and industry associations.

  • Oversee program execution by establishing program timelines and manage resources and budget to ensure activities / tasks are on track to meet goals and deadlines

  • Business analytics : Harness external and internal data resources to provide analysis and reports for the various functions for strategising, planning and monitoring progress and performance, and aligning analyses to enterprise level methodology and best practices. These includes monthly and quarterly business reviews and in-line revenue and other reports as and when needed

  • Working primarily with Strategic Customer Development, Program Units and Scientific Affairs teams to oversee the development and planning and execution of marketing campaigns and events. These including digital marketing, roadshows, user forums, Quality Hour, workshops and education programs.

  • Co-ordination with relevant functions and external partners for marketing materials, colleterals, registration, surveys, feedback reports and moderation of meetings

  • Communications : manage all external communications to facilitate engagement and community building eg Quality Times, blogspots etc

  • Work with Regional Manager on strategic planning and other capacity as needed to support short and long term growth

  • Ensures strategic synergies and consistency between APAC region and other USP offices, including USP-Global and Regional offices, ensuring close collaboration and alignment among various counterparts..

  • Be a change agent, inspiring others to do the same through effective leadership strategies.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related science field required. An MBA is a plus

  • Project Management Professional Certification is a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in program/project management

  • Experience in supporting a scientific/pharmaceutical or multi-lateral organization with multiple stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the healthcare / pharmaceutical industry

  • Scientific background / understanding of analytical science and/or public health is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and comfort with public speaking

  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to present ideas, conclusions, and factual data in

  • clear and concise written and oral formats.

  • High proficiency using Microsoft Office / Google Docs

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently

  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, and planning skills required.

  • Self-motivated, bias towards actions and be results oriented

  • Collaborative within various teams and successful track record working in a complex global, matrix and fast-paced multi-task environment.

  • Experience in utilizing digital media for outreach campaign

  • Based in Singapore. Travel can be up to 30%
